Meet Our Staff
Ms. Sara is the Director at Presbyterian Child Development Center. She has twenty years of experience working with children. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work with a minor in Psychology. She is extremely passionate about working with children and feels strongly about educating children for the future. She is a lover of life and enjoys gardening, music, hiking, traveling, and cooking.
Ms. Shelby is our Education Coordinator at PCDC. She has a degree in Education and has worked with children in many capacities. She enjoys rock climbing, outdoor adventures, reading, and hanging out with her son, daughter, and husband.
Ms. Amy is the teacher in the Opal Room at PCDC. She went to Southeast Missouri State University and has a Bachelor's Degree in Global Culture/Language (German). She has worked with children for three years as a camp counselor with ages 8 to 10 and in a childcare facility for two years in Kentucky. She enjoys reading, watching basketball, and eating pasta.
Ms. Claire is the teacher in the Sapphire Room. She has a Bachelor's degree from SIU in Social Work with a minor in Psychology. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, painting, knitting, and doing other crafts as well.
Ms. Jorie is our teacher in the Ruby Room. She earned an Associate of Arts degree at Harper College. Ms. Jorie is from the northwest suburbs of Chicago and loves cheering on the Blackhawks and Cubs. She also loves participating in sports especially soccer and volleyball. When she is not going on adventures with her friends, she can be found with her nose in a book or baking delicious treats!
Ms. Theresa works part-time at our center. She holds an Associate's degree in Early Education and works in many capacities at PCDC. She enjoys working with the children and staff at PCDC, reading magazines, and going out to eat.
Ms. Maddie is a newer addition to our center. She helps out with cooking, cleaning, and other various items that need to be done around the center. She likes movie nights, food, and hanging out with friends.
